HI-TECH DECK

This client asked us to develop a composite deck to be placed over his swimming pool and gain square meters outdoors without invading the green part of his garden.
The challenge was to achieve a structure that would support the loads, that would be light enough to be moved by two people by hand and that would not interrupt the very well achieved aesthetics of the house.

We entrusted @suar_yacht_design with the FEA calculations of the structure.
We made two interlocking modules laminated in fiberglass with pre-preg carbon reinforcements and PVC foam, laminated in a single stage.
We covered the upper side with PVC Deck boards @rehau.argentina glued with a special adhesive.
We lacquered the edges with PU bi-coat + matt and anti-slip lacquer.
The bottom side was lacquered with matt white PU bi-coat.
